Marshall Elementary

Marshall Elementary focuses on the circulation and the overall child experience. The main idea of the form was to represent the circulation throughout the building and outdoors
two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally. The entrance is a glass semi-circle to create a welcoming feeling. Creating a circular build was done to provide incredible views of the outdoors. The south part of the building is made up of glass to allow as much sunlight as possible. The garden is on the balcony connected to one of the classrooms. The garden floor has glass outlining the bottom to enable sunlight underneath. When exiting the building, you walk into the outdoor space connected to the private courtyard that's built into the slope. A stair-ramp allowed those at the top of the hill and outdoor space to come down and experience the beach.
