EQUINOX PAVILLION

The bus pavilion is made up from a skeleton of skinny steel beams with panels of glass and metal sheeting between them, creating a structure that is able to be used during all weather throughout the year. The metal sheeting is placed on the upper half of the structure to block sunlight from the inside of the pavilion, which will help keep the inside cooler during the warmer seasons. The glass is mostly placed on the lower half of the pavilion to allow sunlight during the cooler seasons to help warm up the inside. These components of the pavilion help create a better user experience as we can not place heating and cooling into an open structure. The pavilion also is separated into three parts, fully enclosed, partially enclosed, and fully open. These different layers of the pavilion can cause a user of the pavilion to have a different experience everyday while in it. This pavilion is not only functional but it is also a captivating sculpture.
